Development of the Space Training Catalogue and SpaceCRAFT competencies framework
by Joseph Dudley and Heidi Thiemann
We’ve been funded by the UK Space Agency to further develop our Space Training Catalogue and SpaceCRAFT Competencies Framework between now and March 2025.
Over the next 15 months we’re going to be:
- Increasing the level of detail on the SpaceCRAFT framework to explain each competency better, and to add levels to allow for recognition of different experience and expertise
- Mapping and aligning to other related frameworks to make them interoperable for users who work across more than one sector
- Providing more detailed information about training opportunities such as location, duration, price, accreditation, and target audience to make it easier to find relevant courses
- Adding a section for providers who offer bespoke training not courses
- Making general improvements to functionality, making the tools more user friendly and accessible
Our goal is to create resources that are useful to the sector, so we want your input on what we should improve. If you’re already using either tool, or thinking about doing so, please get in touch with us.
Our questions for you:
- What new features or functionality would you like to see?
- What’s missing from the SpaceCRAFT competencies framework?
- How are you using the training catalogue and the competencies framework at the moment? What’s working, what’s not working?
